    DiveGuard - smart system for underwater navigation and communication

    AI & Machine Learning
    DiveGuard is an innovative system developed by me with elements of artificial intelligence that ensures safe and efficient diver immersion. It combines computer vision technologies, gesture recognition, voice control, speech synthesis, and natural language processing.

    The system can:
    - Detect dangerous objects (e.g., sharks);
    - Determine the diver’s health status and environmental parameters;
    - Respond to user gestures (e.g., "SOS", "All clear", "I am ascending", etc.);
    - Display information on a Head-Up Display interface;
    - Communicate with the user via voice and text without manual control.

    Technologies used:
    Python, YOLO, PyQt5, MediaPipe, Roboflow, SpeechRecognition, pyttsx3, FLAN-T5 XL.

    Result:
    DiveGuard significantly improves diving safety, suitable for ecological, scientific, or rescue underwater operations. The program has been tested in simulations and is ready for integration into hardware solutions.

    This project has been presented at several international competitions, where it received recognition:

    Computer vision system for waste recognition

    AI & Machine Learning
    The goal of the project "Computer Vision System for Garbage Recognition (Garbage Eye)" was to create a computer vision system for automatic recognition of garbage in photos, videos, and in real-time video streams. The system is designed for integration into "smart city" infrastructure and can operate both locally and in the cloud.

    As part of the implementation:
    - Analyzed existing analogs and selected effective neural network models;
    - Prepared a dataset and trained the model;
    - Created a graphical interface based on PyQt5;
    - Implemented functionality for recognizing garbage in images, videos, and in real-time;
    - Configured automatic email notifications to the official email of the communal services of Kremenchuk upon detection of a critical amount of garbage.

    Technologies used:
    Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, YOLO, PyQt5, Roboflow.

    Result:
    The Garbage Eye system successfully performs household waste recognition, can be integrated into city monitoring and response services. Automatic notifications to communal services facilitate quick response to pollution incidents in the urban environment.
