Reorganization of PDM and elimination of duplication
For assemblies of 5000+ parts, the strategy of "create new if the old is hard to find" is a direct path to chaos in procurement and production. I propose the implementation of a Methodology for eliminating duplicates through the configuration of system constraints.
WORK FORMAT:
Day (Mobile): Asynchronous audit. Analysis of your screenshots of the structure, data cards, and current workflows in the chat. Identification of anomalies "on the fly."
Evening (1.5 hours): Concentrated session. Provision of ready technical solutions and configuration logic for your administrator.
IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE (5 DAYS):
Days 1-2: Revision. Audit of folder structure and access rights. Separation of library components (Library) and unique developments (Projects).
Days 3-4: Standardization. Configuration of system uniqueness for file names. Configuration of Data Cards for searching by attributes (material, article, GOST), rather than by name.
Day 5: Regulation. Configuration of Workflow for the Chief Engineer and performers. Automation of transitions "In Progress / Approved" to protect versions from accidental changes.
RESULT:
You receive a system that physically blocks the creation of duplicates and reduces the time to find a part to 10-15 seconds.
