The idea is interesting, and we can definitely work with the existing sleeve.
Thank you for the photos! The characters are cool, and the theme is clear — classic "money/gangster" style in a cartoonish presentation. We can create a very dense and striking sleeve with this.
Here are a few conceptual ideas on how this can be realized:
1. Option "Adding Color" (Graffiti / Pop-art accents)
Since the sketches are clear and graphic, it’s perfect to use not just classic realistic colors, but bright, saturated accents.
How to implement: Make the characters and details (money, bags) colorful. For banknotes — juicy green, for gold — rich yellow/gold. Text or individual elements (for example, fire near the bank in the background) can be highlighted in a bright graffiti or neon style (acid green, red, or purple) to make the sleeve "pop."
2. Option "Only Background" (Smoke, fire, and urban architecture)
If everything is kept in black and gray tones (Black&Grey), the background should unite these characters into a single story so they don’t look like separate stickers.
How to implement: * Night city / Silhouettes: The background is filled with soft silhouettes of skyscrapers (like Gotham or New York), gradients of the night sky, and spotlight lights.
Smoke and fire: Unite elements with dynamic Chicago smoke, dollar patterns (watermarks in the background), or tongues of flame that smoothly flow from one character to another, covering the "clean" skin.
3. Scaling and transforming the plot (Full sleeve)
If we are building a large sleeve, these two plots will not be enough for the whole arm. It’s worth adding another 1-2 elements in the same style for balance.
What can be added: Another canonical element is needed here — for example, a retro car (on which gangsters are escaping), a classic open safe from which coins are spilling out, or dice/cards made in the same cartoonish style.
