Вы могли бы уточнить. Не очень понял вопроса.
UE4 для того что бы потом можно было накидать в прототип квесты и посмотреть как оно выходит до того как делаем в реальности. Т.к. все будет из металла и будет не просто переделать )
Плюс мы еще не пробовали делать с таким подходом)))

обычно модели делают в 3D редакторе каком то, подготавливают нужные текстуры, PBR или PBS (разница не особо отличается подходы разные) и потом подготовленную модель с текстурами экспортируют в движок

Вы имеете ввиду билд для рендера фотореалистичных рисунков?
Или экспортировать 3д модели?
Тут суть в том что если же исполнителю проще будет накидать простые формы 3д модели в Майе и потом загрузить в UE4 то мы не против.

простые формы можнр и в движке сделать, у него вроде не плохая библиотека есть, а вот более сложные обычно делают в сторонних редакторах. И не обязательно мая ))

Нам нужно собрать комнату из простых элементов (стены потолок))))
После чего уже сделать или использовать уже готовые асеты. Решетки, лампочки. кнопки, рычаги и прочее для создание квест комнаты в 3д на движке. После чего мы будем делать в нем логику прохождения. Если же будет все ок по логике то начнем реализацию в живую
