We are testing an Android demo application to showcase the capabilities of connected eyewear. The current version of this demo application, available at https://github.com/ActiveLook/demo-app/tree/main , requires updating to ensure compatibility with the latest devices and IDE. We are seeking offers from qualified developers to perform this update.
2. Project Objectives
The primary objectives of this project are:
Codebase Update: Refactor and update the existing codebase to ensure full compatibility with the latest Android versions and devices as of March 2025.
SDK Integration Review: Review the latest integration of the ActiveLook Android SDK, ensuring all functionalities of the demo application are optimised for Adnroid Studio's IDE and latest Androids.
3. Scope of Work
The selected freelancer will be responsible for:
Assessment: Conducting a review of the existing application to identify areas requiring updates.
Upgrade: Implementing necessary code changes, and updating dependencies.
Testing: Return the APK and Source code for testing on various Android devices to ensure functionality, compatibility, and performance.
Documentation: Updating documentation to reflect code changes, providing clear instructions for future maintenance.
4. Deliverables
Updated Source Code: A fully updated and functional codebase hosted in the designated repository.
Unsigned APK: An unsigned APK for testing on devices.
Technical Documentation: Documentation detailing code changes.
5. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Technical Competence: Demonstrated understanding of the project requirements and proposed technical approach.
Experience: Relevant experience in Android application development and SDK integration.
Cost-Effectiveness: Reasonableness cost.
