There is a file in Step format (it was made in AutoCAD, but it doesn't matter - when converting to Step, everything gets lost. And now it can be simplified with any CAD software, for example Catia, Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, Pro-E, PTC Creo, Unigraphics, NX, etc.)
Currently, the file is 1,190,000 KB (approximately 1.2 GB or 1190 MB) - it needs to be ideally 10 MB, but up to 100 MB is acceptable.
First of all, it is necessary to remove all small items - bolts, nuts, washers, all insignificant details and structures.
Why is this needed?
We will be calculating flows (hydro-gas dynamics using Ansys). We need to leave only walls and partitions.
Object: industrial building or factory building.
If you have experience in simplifying geometry for finite element analysis, that’s great. If not, it’s not a problem. I will explain in detail what needs to be simplified. It’s not difficult.
What difficulties and challenges are there?
1. The model is very large - difficult to work with.
2. I assume that the model will take a long time to load, and then the rotation on the screen will probably be slow.
What is absolutely necessary? A professional designer who works with 3D geometry every day. Experience of at least 3 years.
It may be necessary to work remotely using TeamViewer / Anydesk on our powerful server or personal computer. But this is not yet certain.

Так если ето для продувки здание. Это ж в основном определить ветровые нагрузки, центры давления и т.п. Может заново набрать? Вам же там электрика, канализация не надо. Габариты, внешня форма - и в Ансис. Подумайте. Может это работа на пол дня и ресурсного компа непротребуется. А то вы уже для обдувки здания в Ансис рубанули всех у кого компы средней производительности. Такая модель возможно Только открываться будет долше, чем кто-то протяжкой графических примитивов сделает одну это модель.
