Finding and eliminating the vulnerability that led to the hack (updating Joomla, plugins, closing holes). Checking the database for hidden administrators created by hackers. Setting up basic website protection (configuring .htaccess, restricting folder permissions, installing security components like RSFirewall or equivalents).
