I understand the specifics of Salesforce / Visualforce PDF — the rendering (flying-saucer) is indeed very finicky, therefore:
• there will be exactly 1 table
• no nested tables
• only + fixed widths (120mm / 33mm / 33mm)
• table-layout: fixed;
• no div, flex, grid, float
• only inline styles + inside
• correct operation on 2 pages
• stable item transfer (up to 30 rows)
• careful handling of nowrap for numbers
• A4 210×297 mm with 12mm margins

I will also carefully implement:
• Seller / Buyer cards through border in the required row
• compact mode for items (padding 1mm)
• bold Total row with 0.6mm border-top
• I will keep all placeholders 1:1 (${number}, ${items_total}, etc.)
• logo at the top left

If needed, I can additionally:
• test the behavior of thead { display: table-header-group; }
• create a fallback version without a repeating header
• adapt it for the Apex controller Expand
