пусть в бекапе поменяет с MaxBack.bak на MaxBack.max
а потом открыть новый файл и замерджить все туда со старого, 98% случаев все мерджиться, только рендер настроить заново. скорее всего что-то туда поставили глючное и оно может снова не открыться. Но скорее всего востановить можно, если еще не занимались другими проектами.
все через это проходят, одного раза хватает чтоб потом всегда сохранять по несколько копий перед важными изменениями.
