Тем более, если один из ваших критериев — «Оптимизация производительности (минимизация использования лишних скриптов и ресурсов)», то конструктор вам не подходит.
Хотя в PlayerJS всё пишут в одном файле, это далеко не гарантия качества. Конструкторы всегда накладывают свои уровни абстракции, которые неизбежно влияют на производительность и минимальный код.

«Воспроизведение видео (поддержка основных форматов: MP4, WEBM, HLS, DASH)» — если вы переживаете за поддержку форматов, то конструкторы здесь тоже не выигрывают.
Существует несколько старых библиотек для декодирования, которые используют все. Они активно поддерживаются и проверены в боевых условиях. Точнее, это касается HLS и DASH. Также следует отметить, что их эффективная работа требует настройки на стороне сервера.
Поддержка MP4 и WEBM уже встроена в браузеры из коробки.
