I am commissioning the design of a garden greenhouse:
Current state:
A concrete foundation has been made with a thickness of 20cm, a depth of 50cm, and external dimensions of 10.2m x 4.2m, protruding about 10cm above the ground surface.
The foundation is oriented with the shorter sides facing south-north.
Requirements:
Greenhouse dimensions: length 10m, width 4m, height of side walls 2m, height at the peak 2.6m
Roof shape – arch, deflection height about 60cm
Roof material – 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate with UV coating.
The roof structure must allow for the installation of PVC gutters on both sides (I will do this myself)
Entrance to the greenhouse - a door 90cm wide on the shorter walls, in the middle of the wall.
Windows - 4 tilt windows on the longer walls, the windows should tilt from the bottom, the structural element at the bottom of the window must allow for the later installation of an actuator.
Wall material – glass
Filling material for the circular section on the shorter walls above the height of 2m – 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate.
General notes:
The plot is located on a hill and strong and gusty winds or summer storms often occur.
To clarify the connection of the lower element of the greenhouse with the foundation, whether to install a drip edge or some kind of flashing to prevent rainwater and water running down the walls of the greenhouse from remaining between the foundation and the structural element, causing corrosion.
To clarify the connection of the upper part of the greenhouse (polycarbonate) with the walls – in general, I want the greenhouse to be relatively airtight as I plan to extend the growing season and heat the greenhouse.
Side walls – I allow for a structure that divides the panes in half to avoid installing panes that are 2m high.
The project must be in Polish.
