About the project
Task: Development of a comprehensive concept and a series of 30 illustrations for a children's interactive yoga and relaxation map. The project aims to encourage children to adopt a healthy lifestyle, develop flexibility, and learn to relax in a playful and visually appealing way.
Business goal and specifications
Scope of work: Creation of 5 unique branded characters and their integration into 30 different asanas.
Target audience: Children aged 4 to 10 years, parents, children's yoga trainers, kindergartens.
Format: Full-frame game poster for high-resolution printing (8k) with clean edges, adapted for placement on a light (white) background without excessive visual noise.
Conceptual solutions and style
Visual style: A modern combination of flat art and soft digital painting. A warm, natural color palette is used (gentle pastel tones, muted green, terracotta, sky blue) that does not overwhelm children's perception and harmoniously fits into the interior of a child's room.
Gamification and structure: The map is built on the principle of a board game with tracks and hints. The entire set of 30 exercises is logically divided into 4 colored stages (practice zones):
Morning awakening (light warm-up and greeting the day).
Strength and balance (active poses for coordination and endurance).
Flexibility (gentle stretching and flexibility).
Evening relaxation (breathing practices and calming asanas to prepare for sleep).
Characters (Nature Friends)
5 charismatic heroes were developed for the project, each embodying a specific type of load or emotional state:
Fox — activity and dynamics.
Teddy bear — strength, stability, and grounding.
Frog — flexibility, bouncing, and stretching.
Bird — balance, lightness, and standing poses.
Cloud — breathing, calmness, and final shavasana.
Results and development stages
Analysis and planning: Distribution of 30 asanas among 5 characters to create an optimal rhythm for the map.
Sketching: Development of the anatomy and emotions of the characters in complex yoga poses, considering children's stylization.
Finalization: Clean drawing, color work, creation of unique font blocks for exercise names (in Ukrainian and English).
Final: The client received a high-quality, fully print-ready vector/raster layout, where each illustration is both part of a large puzzle and a standalone element (card).
