Copywriting for B2B: Industrial Solar Energy
Work on industrial B2B projects almost always starts not with writing texts, but with a deep dive into the product.
In this project, it was necessary to develop content for a company that designs and builds solar power plants.
The main task was not to describe the equipment, but to explain complex engineering solutions in a language understandable to business owners, investors, agricultural holdings, and homeowners' associations.
What was done
• A series of interviews with technical specialists was conducted;
• The website structure and landing page logic were developed;
• Texts for 15 separate areas were written;
• Expert SEO materials for the blog were prepared;
• Various communication scenarios for B2B, B2C, and the public sector were built.
Project feature
Practically every technical characteristic had to be translated into business language.
For example, the operating parameters of inverters, battery resources, or system switching speeds were explained through economic effects, production continuity, return on investment, and risk minimization of enterprise downtime.
This approach allows for the creation of content that is read not only by engineers but also by those making financial decisions.
Result
Within the project, a full-fledged content system for the company's website was created: landing pages, expert articles, and texts that function as a single B2B sales funnel.
The project became one of the largest in my portfolio among technical and industrial niches and once again confirmed that quality B2B copywriting starts not with words, but with a deep understanding of the client's business.
