Red Fish is an online seafood store that delivers across Ukraine. The website offers fish, caviar, shrimp, mussels, squid, octopus, seafood delicacies, and other products.

The main goal was to increase organic website traffic and improve Google rankings through technical optimization, website structure expansion, semantic keyword research, and landing page optimization.

Work on the website started in January 2021.

Results
Organic traffic grew from 1,041 users in January to 6,674 users in November 2021.

This means organic traffic increased by approximately +541% compared to the first month of work.

From January 1, 2021 to November 29, 2021, the website received 25,703 users from organic search.

Compared to the same period in 2020, organic traffic increased by 272.78%.

In November 2021, organic search brought 6,674 users, compared to 2,205 users in November 2020.

Most of the growth was achieved without active external link building. The main focus was on internal website optimization.

What Was Done
A full technical SEO audit of the website was conducted. Based on the audit, a technical task was prepared for developers to fix website errors.

Competitor websites in the seafood eCommerce niche were analyzed. The website structure was expanded, and semantic keyword research was collected for the main website pages: categories, subcategories, and product pages.

Technical tasks for SEO content were prepared based on the collected keyword research. Meta tags were created and optimized for website pages, including Title, Description, and H1.

Landing pages were optimized for relevant target search queries.

Each month, the current state of the website, organic traffic dynamics, and keyword positions were analyzed. Organic traffic performance was also tracked in Google Analytics and compared with the previous year.

An important point: external SEO optimization was almost not used at this stage. The main focus was on technical SEO, website structure, semantic keyword research, content, and internal optimization.

Organic Traffic Growth

In January 2021, the website received 1,041 users from organic search. After technical improvements, structure expansion, and page optimization, traffic started to grow steadily.

By November 2021, organic traffic reached 6,674 users per month.

Summary
As a result, we significantly increased organic traffic for the seafood online store and improved the website’s visibility in Google search.

The main result was achieved through comprehensive internal SEO optimization: technical audit, error fixing, website structure expansion, semantic keyword research, meta tag optimization, and SEO content preparation.
