The tale of the owl
This work — from the first word of the text to the last stroke of the illustration — embodies my vision of a fairy tale. My main idea was to create an image that breaks the stereotypes about the "predatory nature" of nocturnal birds, instead showing tenderness, an aesthetic perception of the world, and the ability to notice beauty where others see only darkness. I invented Rara as a "flower owl." While her surroundings focus on hunting, my heroine chooses the path of contemplation. This is a metaphor for creative people who see the world differently. This project for me is a story about finding one's own path and the ability to appreciate the unnoticed beauty. I infused this work with the desire to remind everyone that comfort begins with love for what surrounds us.
