Good day, dear freelancers. I hope you are doing well.

We are a game studio that develops mobile games. At the moment, we need your services to create an icon that will be placed in the Play Market and App Store. Below are examples of such icons from the respective stores.

About the Game

Overall Style: Fantasy, magic, medieval

Model Style: low poly. We use assets from Synty - https://syntystore.com/

Game Genre: Adventure, quest, arcade

Closest game reference by mechanics: Timing Hero PV: Retro Fighting - Apps on Google Play

Closest game reference by mechanics x2: https://osu.ppy.sh/home

Our thoughts on the icon: We believe that the icon should reflect what is happening in the game.

For example: Fruit ninja - a game where there are fruits, and you need to slice them image

pixel dash - a game where you need to navigate obstacles with a cube. image

What solutions do not suit us: Placing images of any characters or elements related to the game is not advisable (Examples of such icons are PUBG, Call of Duty, Sonic, Subway Surfer, Brawl Stars, Final Fantasy, and others imageimage image imageimage image

The reasons why they are not suitable - these games are not stumbled upon accidentally, but are intentionally sought out; they have recognizable elements and a community. Our game currently has no community, and the brand and name are not easily recognizable for players to find us and click on our game. Therefore, it is necessary to show what the game has to offer. Attention must be fought for and attracted.

Color Scheme: The color scheme in our game is orange, closer to rusty (below is a screenshot)

But for the icon, I would like to use the main color yellow or its shades, for example, gold, yellow-orange, and so on. A contrasting color, another, does not matter.

Technical Requirements

Icons must meet the technical requirements of the stores where they are placed and, of course, the rules:

For Google Play: https://developer.android.com/distribute/google-play/resources/icon-design-specifications

For App Store: https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/app-icons

Submission of Contest Works: I cannot comment on works until the actual victory, as I consider it not entirely fair to discuss edits if the work did not win. However, from my side, if it is critical for you to receive a response, please reach out. I can also reject works that I do not like at all and give ratings from 3 to 4 if there are elements that I really like and 5 for those works that, let's say, made it to the finals. I am always open to suggestions; if you would like to change something in our collaboration, please write.

After Winning: after winning please also consider that 2-3 edits may be made to the work, such as replacing a certain element or changing the color.

Thank you for your attention to the project. Good luck to everyone in the contest. Take care!

Updates
Update #1

Probably the most important thing I forgot to mention. The name of the game will be "QTEM: Quick Time Event Master". Since the game is built on mastering these quick events. The game itself aims to be as interactive as possible. And to move away from the canon of development, which is currently trending in Idle games.

Update #2

I am publishing the design of the game interface and the design of the level "room", where the main battle takes place, after which the player moves to the next room. This happens 10 times, after which the level ends. The environment can vary: Castle, forests, mountains, underground rivers, and so on. All in the fantasy genre.

I hope this will also help. Have a good day everyone :)

Update #3

Thank you to everyone who participated, it was a challenging task, and it is really difficult to choose a winner from all who remained. If you did not use AI, you did great! And you are simply wonderful illustrators. I will get back to you with a response as soon as my team makes a decision.

Wishing you peaceful skies, take care of yourselves.
