The stated task consisted of two parts. The first - to edit a PDF file that contained 13 chapters and move photos. The second task - to create an identical PDF file in structure from a Word file with 13 chapters, insert photos into this file (a link to the folder with photos was provided separately). I completed the first part. At this point, the client did not choose my rate, and I overlooked this moment because it was my first project. Then, they sent me a Word file in A4 format, which I converted to the format according to the previous PDF file. I inserted the photos. I want to note that editing on my part, namely detailed proofreading and editing of grammatical or syntactical errors, was not discussed. The Word file itself contained words with manual hyphenation. That is, Word did not automatically hyphenate, but the author manually placed "-" at the end of the line and pressed enter, and sometimes with a space, moved the word to the next line. Of course, when changing the format from A4 to book format, the placement of words on the page changed. Accordingly, there were many words on the page with "-" in the middle. For example, "голо-ва", "ре-ка", etc. And I had to proofread the entire book to remove these "-" in the words. I also want to note that the corrections that needed to be made were not indicated clearly. The word was simply highlighted in color, and it was unclear what exactly needed to be done with it - edit, delete, or move. And the biggest problem - the client checked and read not the file that I provided for review. Several times they sent me errors for correction with the remark that I did not make them, but in fact, they were opening the wrong file. I emphasized several times which file needed to be opened, but this repeated again and again. I spent time checking what had already been done. After I sent the final version of the book, the client did not respond for 3 days. And only after I contacted support did they get in touch. After that, comments started to appear from their side regarding the work they had previously accepted, and they decided to change names in the book, again add photos that they had previously asked to delete, and again I had to edit words with "-"... I really regret agreeing to collaborate with this client.

The client is demanding and has her own view on the work process, however, thanks to quality communication, we were able to achieve mutual comfort in the work and successfully complete the project.
