    • How I married off my son

A wedding for us, in Ukraine, is a grand and monumental event. Of course, things have simplified a bit now, but our generation still tries to adhere to and fulfill age-old traditions in this matter.
Our wedding was planned to be medium-sized; I wouldn't say it was large, but I think it wasn't small either, about 60 guests gathered, mostly from our side, the groom's side. Everything was already prepared, the hall was booked, and the food was purchased.
In the morning, we got up, and, as they say, with God's help, everything took off! As acquaintances and neighbors later recounted, there hadn't been such a joyful wedding in our city for a long time!
Our whole crowd of guests flooded into the registry office, and with noise and fun, the organizational procedure went smoothly, then the guests (all 60 of them) spilled out onto the steps of the registry office to take photos – this is a local tradition of ours. The photographer was a master of his craft, and with jokes and laughter, he quickly arranged everyone on the stairs and, as they say, immortalized the moment!
Then the newlyweds and guests who wished to join went for a ride around the city, laying flowers at memorial sites.
In the café, in a decorated hall with laid tables, the wedding procession was already awaited by the toastmaster! And then, as they say, "the wedding sang and danced," the toastmaster was on top of her game, and the guests had no time to be bored.
In the evening, as the sun was setting, the ceremony of "covering the bride" was held – married women removed the veil from the bride, sang ritual songs, and then tied a married woman's scarf around her, and the bride became a young wife.
At the end, there was a dance with candles; the lively toastmaster handed out small candles to everyone, the lights in the hall were turned off, and the tired but very happy newlyweds danced with lit candles to a gentle and slow melody, illuminated by the little candle lights held by the guests.
I don't know about the newlyweds, but these few days are etched in my memory for a lifetime. They flew by in an instant, and even though ten years have passed since then, even now, when I look through the photos of this significant event or the wedding video recorded on a disc, my soul feels so light, and a slight smile appears on my lips.

      About me

Who, I don't know, spreads rumors for no reason
That I live without sorrow and worries...

These words of my favorite singer, Alla
Pugacheva, describe me perfectly as well.
I was born into an ordinary miner's family, nothing
special distinguished me. I studied, as the classic said,
"we all learned a little, something and somehow." It seems not bad,
but ask me now anything besides
the multiplication table, or some phrases from my favorite
poems, and I probably won't remember.
After school, I went to Kyiv to enroll in
an institute, and there, during the entrance exam, a funny incident happened that stayed in my memory for a lifetime: during the chemistry entrance exam (polytechnic institute), I
asked my friend, a "Western Ukrainian":
"What determines the hardness of water?" - she replied: "Slaked lime."
And I thought to myself, what lime? What is she talking about? Only a couple of minutes later did I begin to understand that she was
answering me in Ukrainian - "slaked lime"!
That was quite a funny incident! It seems like
there's nothing particularly funny about it, but for some reason, I remember it with such nostalgia!
Well, then everything was like for everyone - wonderful
student years, life in a student dormitory, then in a working dormitory, which I remember with such warmth,
Kyiv, a very wonderful city, and I recall it with such
warmth, for some reason, my soul became so attached to it that when, due to
      circumstances,
I had to return home to Donbas, those memories
      remain a painful wound.
And it seemed that everything was going well: I got a job at the State Bank as an apprentice
      accountant, then I enrolled and
graduated from the Kharkiv Accounting and Credit College. I got married, had two
sons, but my soul always longed for Kyiv.
Then, of course, there were all sorts of things in life, both good and bad, but I tried to follow the words of my favorite singer

In bitter times, when luck is mortally against me,
I say that I'm lucky, no matter what!
Just like everyone else, like everyone else
I walk on the earth, I walk, I walk,
And from fate, like everyone else, like everyone else
I ask for happiness for myself...

"A historical detective story that keeps you on edge"
The book captivated me from the first pages. The plot revolves around a mysterious murder, where every detail is important. The author skillfully reveals the characters' personalities, and the unexpected twists make it impossible to put the book down. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of ancient cities — it feels like you are walking through the narrow streets yourself. I recommend it to everyone who loves intrigue and historical details.
    • My day in the genre of tragicomedy

      AI Content Creation
Woke up at 6:30 from lamentations and decided to lie down a bit longer — until 7:30. Changed the diaper, washed up, did my hair, cooked porridge. While it was cooling, I managed to have coffee and a sandwich. Fed mom, had breakfast myself — and immediately heard: "I want to eat!" Offered a banana, she agreed. Throughout the day: soup, salads, laundry, went to the store for fish, cleaning, helped mom with turning over, hairstyle, nails, lamentations… The power went out — I sat down to knit a rug, figured out how to secure a water bottle so mom could reach it herself. Then salads, stewed fish, liver pâté, dyed eggs, more lamentations and verbal nonsense. By evening, the garden, flowers, strawberries, neighbor with curlers, Tolya from YouTube… Mom is eating again and forgetting that she has already tried it. In the end — television, knitting socks, mom fell asleep. The day ended, but the tragicomedy continues.
