Hello! For a small warehouse, Google Sheets using QUERY or SUMIF formulas is best suited, allowing for the automation of inventory without unnecessary effort.
Here’s how we will build your spreadsheet (3 pages):
1. Page "Product Directory":
• A list of all items/names.
• Column "Current Balance" — the final figure will be automatically pulled here.
2. Page "Incoming":
• Date, Name (dropdown list), Quantity.
• You simply enter what has arrived.
3. Page "Outgoing":
• Date, Name (dropdown list), Quantity.
• You enter what has been issued from the warehouse.
How automation works:
I will set up a formula that takes the quantity of goods from "Incoming," subtracts the quantity from "Outgoing," and instantly shows the current result in the "Directory." You won’t need to calculate anything manually.
