Budget: 10000 UAH Deadline: 10 days
Hello! My main commercial specialization is web development, but my long-standing and serious hobby is pixel art. I create graphics in professional game development software Aseprite.
For this project, my background in development is a huge advantage. Since I program and layout web interfaces daily, I view game UI not just as an artist, but as a technical specialist. I perfectly understand the logic of player interaction with elements, how all states work (hover, pressed, disabled), how to properly scale (9-slice technique for pixel art), and maintain readability during dynamic combat.
The task is very clear, and the Dark Fantasy style is very close to me. Here’s how I envision the implementation:
Menu buttons: I will draw them using 9-slice for perfect scaling. I will work out all 4 states. For the hover state, I will add a slight glow and subtle decor in the spirit of dark fantasy.
Dialog window: I will create a modular structure. The frames will scale according to the text, and the name area will be clearly highlighted. I will separately draw an adjacent window for interaction choices in the same palette.
Player HUD: The most important element. I will draw resource bars (Health, Mana, Stamina) with high contrast. The slots for skills and items will have clear visualization of cooldowns, hover micro-animations, and states of blocked skills.
Estimated development conditions:
Cost: 9,000 – 12,000 UAH (depends on the number of unique icons for skill slots and the complexity of cooldown/glow animations).
Timeline: 7–10 days for drawing all elements, animations, and preparing final sprite sheets.
My proposal (Free test):
Since pixel art is a very specific style, and it is critically important for you to capture the vibe of your game, I don’t want you to buy a "pig in a poke." I am ready to draw one element for free (for example, a menu button in Default/Hover states or the frame of a dialog window). You will assess my level, understanding of dark fantasy style, and work with Aseprite. If you like the result, we can discuss the entire scope.
Please let me know if you have a screenshot of the gameplay itself, so I can choose an interface palette that won’t blend in with the game background?
