Hello, I worked on a backup system for an IT company with 1.5 TB of data - I set up automatic backups from Google Drive to AWS S3 with daily synchronization. Result: 99.9% reliability and 40% cost savings.
I’m curious if you are considering a hybrid approach for backup - where critical data is duplicated in multiple storage locations simultaneously?
I suggest we get in touch; I will provide you with a free technical consultation and we can create a development plan + I will tell you about my team!

Good day.
As one option, you can rent the simplest VPS, but with a large disk space and use it for backups or STORAGE SHARE on Hetzner. This serves as a replacement for Google Drive. Google Drive itself does not provide settings for access restrictions or deletion limits. It operates like a regular remote disk with system rights.
I would recommend considering another backup option if a "Read-Only" mode is needed for remote backups and access rights settings.
GitHub/GitLab can save you from user errors if you set up a project for synchronization with these systems, but the size of a single file should not exceed 100 MB.
Another option is to install Syncthing software on any system and synchronize files that have changed; you can also set up backup storage if files were deleted in the main storage. Synchronization can be set to occur once an hour, once a minute, or with every file change. However, for Syncthing to work, you need either a VPS or any home computer with the required (large) disk space for storing files and backups.
In any case, all technical details and aspects need to be discussed to avoid constantly moving from one service to another and wasting time and money.
The price and deadlines provided are approximate for setting up similar solutions.

Good day. I am ready to discuss the details of your task. Write to me. Thank you.

Hello.
We can provide a consultation and after the meeting prepare a structured document with recommended architecture and step-by-step implementation mechanics for both tasks.
For the first point, we would consider not a standard synchronization of Google Drive, but rather an independent backup system with versioning and a separate storage where files remain accessible even in case of deletion, damage, or loss of access to the main Google account. Separately, we can calculate the optimal storage model of 1-10 TB, retention policy, recovery, and estimated monthly costs.
For the second point, it would be advisable to select a platform for team collaboration with a flexible access rights system, support for large files, scalability up to 30 users, and the possibility of further integration with other services. Depending on priorities, this could be either a cloud solution or a proprietary file storage.
Also, during the consultation, we can compare several options based on criteria such as cost, security, ease of administration, and scalability prospects, so that you have not just one scenario, but several practical alternatives.

There is a practically ready approach for such a task - it can be quickly adapted to your Google Drive, with a volume of 2-3 TB and a team of up to 30 people ))
For consultation, I would not limit myself to just a conversation - it’s better to do a short phase within the marketplace with a written scheme, budget, and launch mechanics.
> What I will provide as an output
> A backup architecture with a separate storage, so that deletion or modification of files in Google Drive does not break the backup
> A versioning policy, retention periods, and recovery
> Cost comparison for 2-3 TB - Google Workspace, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, AWS S3 Glacier, or similar options
> A recommendation for an alternative to Google Drive for the team with viewing, editing, and deletion rights
> A brief implementation plan - what exactly we are configuring, what accesses are needed, what risks we are mitigating
There is a nuance - to guarantee the preservation of deleted files, simple mirror synchronization cannot be done. A backup with a retention policy or object lock is needed; otherwise, accidental deletion may go into the copy, and that is no longer a backup, but a very disciplined self-deception =/

> Are the data currently in regular Google Drive or Google Workspace with an admin console?
> Is it only necessary to design the mechanics, or also to implement the backup settings and test file recovery?
The estimate for the short phase is 12,000 UAH and 3 days. After that, we can separately calculate the implementation, as the cost heavily depends on the chosen storage, required versioning, and recovery requirements.

Hello! I offer your NAS server on which to store data. The size you set, the number of users as well.

Hello!
For Task 1, the best implementation is Rclone + Backblaze B2 with Object Lock enabled. This will cost up to $25/month for everything and provide a 100% guarantee against deletion.
For Task 2, the ideal and most budget-friendly solution for 30 people would be Hetzner Storage Share (Nextcloud). You will get your corporate branded drive with no limits on file sizes for about €20 per month for the entire team.
What specific types of files (for example, official documents, large video files, architectural or CAD projects) will your team most often work with in the second task?
Best regards, Oleg Zhylin.

Good day. You need to buy a separate backup drive. I can recommend one hosting service. I got a 4TB drive for myself. If you have any questions, you can write to me in private messages.

I need remote assistance to reinstall Windows via a call with screenshots and demonstration. When rebooting the system with the USB drive inserted and pressing F4 to switch to USB reading mode multiple times, the system did not open the USB drive and just loaded Windows. In cases where the USB did load, after selecting the region in the menu and pressing the next button, everything crashed and it still loaded the regular Windows. After that, the USB drive was selected as a priority in the boot menu in the BIOS. I managed to reach the version selection of Windows and start the installation. During the installation process, after 60%, an error occurred while installing Windows. I repeated the same steps from the beginning and the window appeared "It seems you have started an update and performed a boot from the installation media. If you want to continue the update, remove the media from your computer and click "Yes". If you want to perform a clean installation, click "No". After pressing the "No" button, the system reboots and this window appears again. At this point, the system is stuck in a loop. I don't want to go into the BIOS and dig around myself. I need someone who understands what they are doing and can help solve this problem. Please do not write to me if you plan to help using neural networks. I need a specialist, not a prompt maker.
Looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator / DevOps to diagnose the causes of periodic crashes of the online store. It is necessary not to temporarily eliminate the symptoms, but to find the root cause of the problem, explain it, and propose an optimal solution. What is known The online store has been operating for over 15 years. Linux server. PHP 5.6. MySQL. OPcache is enabled. SSH access is available. Access to the hosting panel is available. Access to logs is available. Server load graphs have been added.Symptoms Periodically: the site stops opening; errors occur: 503 Service Unavailable; HTTP 508; Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers; the response time of the site sometimes increases to 8–11 seconds. Sharp peaks in CPU, memory, and Entry Processes are observed in the load graphs. No critical errors were found in the available PHP logs.Required to conduct a full diagnosis; to find the root cause of the problem; to identify the bottleneck; to explain the cause of the crashes; to propose an optimal way to eliminate it; to perform the necessary work after approval.Mandatory experience Linux; SSH; Apache / Nginx / OpenLiteSpeed; PHP; MySQL; server performance optimization; finding the causes of periodic crashes and high load. Before starting work, please answer How many years have you worked with Linux servers? Have you had experience in finding similar problems? What tools do you plan to use for diagnosis? Have you worked with old PHP projects (PHP 5.x)? What is the cost of the initial diagnosis? What is your hourly rate for further work (if needed)? When can you start? Please do not send template proposals. In your response, briefly describe what you will check first. If the problem is successfully identified and resolved, I am ready for long-term cooperation in server administration and development.
