How I will solve this:
1. I will change the conversion source in Google Ads: instead of importing from GA4, I will set up a direct Google Ads conversion tracking tag (via GTM). This will give an immediate signal to the algorithm.
2. Bridging issue: I will set up Cross-Domain Tracking. When transitioning from the bridge to the main site, the gclid parameter (and session identifiers) will be automatically passed through the link decorator (?_gl=...).
3. As a backup, I will write a small JS script in GTM that will catch the gclid on the bridge and store it in a cookie, ensuring it survives to the "Thank you for your order" page on the main domain.
Experience:
I have worked with funnels involving multiple domains (especially in e-commerce and lead generation). I know how to maintain attribution.
