We have a Ukrainian online store on WordPress/WooCommerce. We need to connect and configure SendPulse for collecting an email database and launching initial automated email scenarios.
Currently, the contact database is virtually non-existent, so we do not plan to create a large number of complex funnels right away. A compact, but fully operational MVP is needed.
Important: the design of the pop-up and emails, as well as all texts, must be prepared by the executor in accordance with the style of our site and approved by us.
Tasks
1. Audit and Technical Setup
It is necessary to:
- set up or check the integration with WooCommerce;
- configure contact lists, fields, variables, and subscription sources;
- check the sender's address;
- check and configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC if necessary;
- verify the correctness of contact transmission from the site;
- set up consent for marketing messages;
- ensure that there is an unsubscribe option in every email.
2. Pop-up for Email Collection
Scenario:
The user sees a discount offer → leaves an email → the contact goes to SendPulse → a promo code is automatically sent to the email.
It is necessary to:
- develop texts for the pop-up;
- create a design in the style of the site;
- adapt the pop-up for desktop and mobile;
- add an email field;
- add text for consent to marketing mailing and a link to the privacy policy;
- create a message about successful subscription;
- set up contact transmission to the appropriate SendPulse list;
- configure conditions and frequency of display;
- not show the pop-up to users who have already subscribed;
- if possible, not show it during the checkout process;
- add analytics for views and conversions;
- conduct testing.
The executor should propose the optimal display scenario: for example, after a certain time on the site, after viewing several pages, or when intending to leave the site.
3. Welcome Flow with Promo Code
Two adaptive emails need to be created.
Email 1 — immediately after subscription:
- thank you for subscribing;
- promo code;
- conditions for its use;
- short presentation of the store;
- button to go to the catalog.
Email 2 — within 24–48 hours:
- reminder about the unused promo code;
- main advantages of the store;
- call to return to the site;
- button to go to the catalog.
For each email, the executor prepares:
- subject;
- preheader;
- text;
- structure;
- design in the style of the site;
- adaptive version;
- UTM tags.
It is desirable to provide for stopping or changing the scenario after a purchase is made.
4. Subscription During Checkout
It is necessary to:
- add or configure a checkbox for consent to marketing mailing in WooCommerce checkout;
- not set consent for the user without their action;
- transmit agreed contacts to a separate list or segment in SendPulse;
- keep the source of contact acquisition.
5. Abandoned Cart or Abandoned Checkout
Before starting work, the executor must check whether the current integration of WordPress/WooCommerce transmits the necessary data to SendPulse.
Desired scenario:
Email 1 — within 1–3 hours:
- reminder about the unfinished purchase;
- items from the cart;
- button to return to the cart or checkout.
Email 2 — within 20–24 hours:
- follow-up reminder;
- working with common objections;
- advantages of the store;
- button to return to the purchase.
Requirements:
- stop the flow after the order is placed;
- not send duplicates;
- transmit the name, photo, price, and link to the product;
- add UTM tags;
- prepare design and texts;
- test the scenario on a test cart and order.
If the standard integration does not transmit the abandoned cart, it is necessary to:
- propose a technical implementation option;
- indicate whether an additional WordPress plugin, API, webhook, or Make is needed;
- separately estimate the cost and time for such work.
6. Testing and Reporting Results
After setup, it is necessary to:
- test the pop-up on desktop and mobile;
- check the addition of contacts to SendPulse;
- check the delivery of the promo code;
- test all emails and links;
- check display in major email clients;
- check the stopping of the flow after purchase;
- set up basic statistics for opens, clicks, and transitions;
- provide a short video or text instruction for editing the pop-up, texts, promo code, and delays;
- provide at least 7 days of support for fixing technical errors after launch.
Expected Result
After completion, the following should work:
- Adaptive pop-up with a discount.
- Automatic saving of contacts in SendPulse.
- Welcome flow with two emails.
- Subscription during checkout.
- Flow for abandoned cart or checkout.
- Automatic stopping of scenarios after purchase.
- Statistics on key metrics.
- Instructions for further management.
Design and Texts
The design and texts are fully included in the executor's task.
It is necessary to:
- familiarize yourself with the site and its visual style;
- use our branding, fonts, colors, and photo materials;
- prepare texts in Ukrainian;
- approve texts and layouts before launch;
- make up to two rounds of justified edits.
Ready-made templates without adaptation to the site style are not considered.
Requirements for the Executor
- practical experience with SendPulse Automation 360;
- experience integrating SendPulse with WordPress/WooCommerce;
- experience setting up abandoned carts;
- ability to create modern clean designs for email letters and pop-ups;
- ability to write marketing texts in Ukrainian;
- understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email deliverability;
- examples of similar e-commerce projects.
