Goal:
Creation of a website for searching products and assigning their locations on warehouse shelves. The main task of the website is to improve the accuracy and speed of working with products in the warehouse by automating the processes of searching and managing inventory.
Purpose:
Internal use in the warehouse for searching products and assigning their locations. The website should work with Google Sheets and integrate with them to pull up-to-date information about products.
Operating principle:
The website should support searching by the following parameters:
• Part number
• Barcode
• Replacement numbers
• Warehouse shelf
When entering one of these parameters, the system pulls all related information about the product from the Google Sheets row, including:
• Part number
• Barcode
• Product name
• Brand
• Replacement numbers (if available)
• Warehouse shelf name
• Quantity in stock
• Product condition
• Product photo (if available)
• Lot value (if available)
Integration:
The website should be integrated with Google Sheets, which are used for storing product data. It is necessary to ensure that the website always works with up-to-date data, synchronizing with the sheets in real time.
Reason for transitioning to the website:
Using the current Google Sheets system creates problems with asynchronous data updates. Product data may be incorrect because part of the information is imported from other sheets that are edited or updated. Imported data may change its position, causing the cells with product location information not to match the current product row. This leads to errors in inventory and placement of products on warehouse shelves.
