Technical assignment (TA) for optimizing a WordPress site
Short description of the task: It is required to optimize the WordPress site to eliminate exceeding the request limit on hosting (over 20,000 per day), improve loading speed (especially the mobile version), and resolve all issues in Google Search Console. The site uses the Advanced Custom Fields PRO plugin for the template and 10Web Booster PRO for optimization (but it is not effective enough for the mobile version). The goal is to increase performance, reduce server load, and improve SEO indexing.
Main tasks:
- Elimination of request limit exceedance: Analyze and optimize traffic (bots, IPs, request paths to images/CSS/JS/JSON), configure blocking of unwanted bots/IPs via .htaccess, check security, relevance of plugins, and presence of infections.
- Optimization of loading speed: Improve the desktop version (current PageSpeed Insights score is low) and especially the mobile version (speed >2.5 sec on 213 pages). Refine or replace 10Web Booster PRO, optimize code, images, and resources.
- Resolving issues in Google Search Console: Fix all indicated errors (indexing, mobile usability, Core Web Vitals, etc.), as shown in the attached screenshots.
Requirements for the specialist:
- Experience in optimizing WordPress site code.
- Knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields PRO plugins (for working with the template) and 10Web Booster PRO (for current optimization).
- Ability to suggest additional improvements for the site (e.g., alternative plugins, caching, CDN).
- Access to tools like PageSpeed Insights and Google Search Console for testing.
