Digitization of an image from a sketch in a notebook

Hello everyone!

I have a photograph of a drawing made by my daughter in a notebook for my boyfriend. It is a pink elephant with the inscription Martin. It is very dear to him and hangs in a frame on his wall.

I want to print this drawing on a faded gray hoodie (photo of the hoodie attached) using the DTG method and gift it to him for his birthday. He is a 47-year-old man with silver strands in his hair, so it is important that this drawing looks cool, vibrant, dense, high-quality, playful, and premium (like how the brand Kenzo beautifully presents in their campaigns (photo also attached), but still cool and not cartoonish.

I need to digitize this drawing and convert it to vector and jpeg: 720 dpi, AI format, JPEG. It is necessary to create exactly the same drawing (not similar, but exactly the same, this is important), without grids and prepare it for printing on the hoodie. Everything must be one-to-one, just with a much denser color, contrast, and with certain important improvements from me, which I have listed below, to make it look stylish and impressive. These improvements should be done skillfully and subtly, so they do not disrupt the harmony of the image. I am a demanding perfectionist with attention to detail, so our communication will be rich and active.

I am looking for an experienced specialist with good taste, experience, patience, and endurance, who understands how to implement this task, who is flexible, and who does not say "it's impossible," but offers solutions. I am also always open to initiative and advice on what and where can be improved to achieve a worthy result.

What needs to be done:

    1.    Image size (elephant + inscription): 30 × 35 cm.

    2.    Resolution and color: 720 dpi, AI format, JPEG, color model CMYK. In vector format, the black color composition is: C=63%, M=52%, Y=51%, K=100%.

    3.    Proportions: slightly stretch the image in width by 5% to match the size of 30 × 35 cm (currently, the elephant + inscription is almost square).

    4.    Outline: make the black outline a little thicker so that it is more expressive when printed.

    5.    Inscription “Martin”: make it a bit thicker and shift it slightly to the right, closer to the tail.

    6.    Color/effect: the elephant should be a dense saturated pink color (much denser than in the drawing), the shade of pink may be slightly adjusted to harmonize with the shade of the hoodie. It may be given a slightly watercolor effect in places to look impressive on the fabric. I do not have information on how to explain this exactly; I just know what I want to achieve, and you know better how to draw. There is information that printing consumes 10–15% of brightness and contrast.

    7.    Texture: throughout the elephant, maintain the effect of uneven coloring with a marker. In the area of the ear, the image looks very smooth, so add some gradients to match the rest of the texture and analyze to ensure everything is harmonious.

    8.    Butt: shorten the line that goes beyond the elephant in the butt area under the tail by about 35-40%.

    9.    Trunk: make it a bit thicker to look more solid. After all, gifting a hoodie with a narrow trunk to a status man is somewhat inappropriate, so it should be a bit more decent 🙂

P.S. We will confirm the final brightness and image sizes with the printing studio next week, so there may be final adjustments. But we will discuss this with you additionally.
