Чай не малые дети и каждый сам может решить - учить, заказать на стороне или просто заплатить преподу.

В данном случае заказчика Паскаль АБС. Это разработка поверх платформы .net, при хорошем преподавателе с паскаля АБС очень просто перейти на c#. К тому же в данный язык включены множество фишек из других языков. Так, например, пользоваться кортежами в паскале АБС даже удобнее, чем в c#. Группа методов генерации LINQ-последовательностей удобнее и гибче, чем в c#. Есть срезы питона (в чистом виде), которые отсутствуют в с#. А вкупе с встроенным задачником паскаль АБС - очень хороший выбор для первого языка. Если есть время на чистую учебу и не требуется идти работать через полгода от начала учебы 😉
