Я выкачал папку с сайтом через ftp, там где она лежала на хостинге до этого. После того настроил сервер по инструкции https://invs.ru/support/chastie-voprosy/kak-ustanovit-wordpress-na-vps-s-ubuntu-16-04-16-10-17-04/
И вот на моменте, где в инструкции установка WP, я не устанавливал, а скопировал сайт в директорию var/www/html. При вводе ip адреса, меня перекидывает на доменное имя, но содержимое не открывается, хотя если ввести ip адрес/index.php, то файл откроется, правда со сломанной версткой и частичной потерей картинок.

Ну так а логи на сервере посмотреть? Там же пишется все. Если не решите, пишите в лс, сделаю. На своем сервере настраивал все с 0, работает норм, включая сжатие, кеширование и т.д.

БД по инструкции подключил. В phpmyadmin импортировал, создал пользователя с правами, и после в папке с сайтом wp, указал данные в файле wp-config.

Я рабочую базу экспортировал в файл sql, а после импортировал в созданную уже на VDS.

в общем выбирайте исполнителья и поглядим)))) в принципе не должно было у вас возникать проблем, но нужно глядеть, хоть адрес сайта дайте чтоль
