Hello.
For such a report, I would not build the logic solely within Looker Studio. When connections between Facebook Ads and CRM begin, especially regarding funnel stages, not only are the graphs important, but also the correct granularity of the data: one lead, one deal, one date of transition between stages, one clear key for linking. Otherwise, the report quickly produces duplicates or incorrect sums.
I see the approach as follows:
1. First, I check how exactly the stages are marked in Nethunt, whether there is a history of transitions and a timestamp for each status.
2. Separately, I verify at which level Facebook Ads expenses can be linked to leads: campaign / adset / ad / UTM.
3. If the linkage is complex, I prepare an intermediate layer of data in a table or SQL, and only then I will pass it to Looker Studio.
4. In the report itself, I leave only the visualization and simple control metrics to make the report easier to maintain.
There is an important nuance here: in Looker Studio, complex formulas on top of blended data have limitations, so it is better to calculate part of the logic before the report rather than trying to assemble everything directly in the dashboard. This is especially important for the cost per lead, cost per qualified lead, and cost per sale by stages.
Before starting, I would clarify:
- whether there is a history of transitions between stages in the CRM, not just the current status.
- which specific key is available for linking with Ads: UTM, campaign ID, lead ID.
- whether metrics need to be calculated by campaigns, adsets, or only by the overall flow.
- whether the sources are already clean or if they need to be brought to a single format.
I can provide a short demo on one initial data source before starting, to show how the information gets into the report and how key metrics are calculated based on it. Please provide one real dataset, I will connect it, check the fields, build a basic funnel, and show the result before the final project agreement.
We can discuss the details in private messages.
