Project Manager (SEO Agency) – Remote, Freelance
I run an established SEO agency and am looking for a reliable Project Manager to help keep our internal SEO team organized and on track.
This role is not client-facing and not an SEO execution role.
We already have all SEO SOPs, training videos, checklists, and systems in place.
Your job is to make sure tasks are completed correctly, on time, and according to our documented processes.
Basic SEO knowledge is required so you can understand what you are reviewing, but you do not need to be an SEO expert or strategist.
Responsibilities
Manage daily SEO tasks inside ClickUp
Assign, track, and follow up on tasks
Make sure work follows our SOPs and checklists
Review completed tasks for accuracy and completeness
Send tasks back for revisions when needed
Keep projects moving smoothly and on schedule
Communicate clearly with team members
Flag recurring issues or delays
Required Skills
Experience as a Project Manager or Operations Coordinator
Comfortable using ClickUp (or willing to learn quickly)
Basic SEO fundamentals, such as:
On-page SEO concepts
Keywords and search intent
Internal linking basics
Strong attention to detail
Clear written English communication
Organized, dependable, and proactive
Nice to Have
Experience working with an SEO or digital marketing agency
Experience managing remote teams
Familiarity with SOP-driven workflows
What This Role Is NOT
No client communication
No SEO strategy creation
No sales or outreach
No advanced technical SEO work
This role is focused on project coordination and quality control, not execution.

• understanding of how SOP-based SEO tasks should look when done correctly
