Друзья, нужен виджет, который выведет последние статьи блога из определенной категории.
slug категории должен соответствовать slug страницы, на которой стоит виджет.
Похожие виджеты уже есть в системе, но нас не устраивают.

Widget должен отобразить статьи (например, последние 10 статей) той категории блога, у которой slug (category) == slug (page, где вызван виджет).
Отобразить в превью виде: заголовок (ссылка) + превью текст + некоторые данные статьи (дата, автор) + ссылка "Подробнее".
Данный тип отображения можно взять с соседнего виджета, а логику сравнения и выборки написать самому.
На данный момент это реализовано через теги. Тоже неплохая реализация (как фильтр), но путает немного копирайтеров и не совсем удобно с точки зрения структуры сайта.
