I have experience in React.
You can solve this simply assign the color of the index and by index show the desired image, i.e. Click on the green (this is the index 0 ) So we find a picture on this index and show it.
Although I don't know Shopify /hydrogen but I don't think there's something complicated yes and plus

Можно решить это просто присвоить цвету индекс и по индексу показывать нужную картинку т.е. нажали на зеленый (это индекс 0 ) Значит находим по этому индексу картинку и показываем ее
Хоть я и не знаю Shopify /hydrogen но не думаю что там что-то сложное да и плюс
если работа максимум за час то все будет легко
