IBM запускуло целую программу по обучению COBOL лет 5 назад, в США куча софта банковского на COBOL

І вже акції IBM впали на 13%) бо вони майже єдині хто підтримує проекти на COBOL) -

Ну и ну! Здесь даже знатоков PL-1 трудно найти, наверное, а Вы - COBOL хотите. Любопытен результат поисков.

Осталась еще куча софта написанного на древних языках типа Кобола, Фортрана и пр. Поддерживать кому-то нужно, а поколение программистов для этих ЯП уже на пенсиях.

Старые ружья и пушки просто выбрасывают. Так было и есть везде.

Процесс выбрасывания медленный. Стандарты на язык продолжают релизиться.
