Resolve the issue with FireBase Dynamic Links
226 USD Google is discontinuing support for Firebase Dynamic Links on August 25, 2025. After this date:
The API will stop working and will return errors.
All existing links (including custom domains and page.link) will stop opening.
Domain prefixes will be removed.
Requirements:
Analyze the client's current Android application and find all instances where Firebase Dynamic Links are used.
Propose and implement a replacement:
– Google recommends considering App Links (Android App Links / iOS Universal Links) or third-party solutions (e.g., Branch, Bitly, Adjust).
Migrate the current link opening logic (deep links, onboarding, referral links, etc.) to the new technology.
Conduct testing (installations, link transitions, correctness of parameter transmission).
Remove outdated dependencies on Firebase Dynamic Links.
