Development of electronics: flexible PCB + firmware for a compact LED device
I am looking for an experienced embedded engineer to develop a compact consumer electronic device with an LED display.
Tasks: - Design a flexible printed circuit board (flex PCB) with addressable LEDs (WS2812C-2020 or similar) in KiCad - Develop the circuitry: MCU (ESP32-C3 or nRF52840, we will discuss the optimal option), powered by a LiPo battery, charging via USB-C, battery protection - Develop firmware: LED animations, button control (on/off, mode switching), deep sleep for battery saving, preparation for BLE - Soldering and assembling 10–20 working prototypes - Testing: checking each unit for functionality
Priority - maximum battery life.
Required experience: - Designing flexible PCBs (flex/rigid-flex) - show photos of your work - Projects with addressable LEDs (WS2812, SK6812 or similar) - Development of battery-powered devices and energy consumption optimization - KiCad or Altium Designer
Preferred: - Experience with nRF52840 or ESP32-C3 - Experience with BLE - 3D modeling of enclosures (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks) - Experience in bringing a product to mass production
