It is necessary to synchronize the stock and availability of products with 1C, specifically so that the user cannot add a product to the cart if the required quantity is not available in stock in 1C, meaning that before adding to the cart, a request should be made to 1C regarding availability and quantity.
From the 1C side, it will be implemented as follows:
- The 1C specialists will implement an HTTP service based on 1C (REST API) with one Get method, which accepts one parameter encoded in the URL string - sku (Product article. This is the sku field in the products table - product attribute). The method returns a JSON object in the response body, the first field of which is the sku field (String Type), with the value that was passed in the request, and the second field quantityinstock (Number 15.3) with the value of the product stock at the current moment. We will inform you of the host, port, resource address, and authentication after the resource is published on the web server.
WooCommerce, after the customer clicks the "Add to Cart" or "Buy" button, scans the product table and makes a request to the 1C resource for the stock of each product, checks the sufficiency of the stock for placing an order, and if the stock is insufficient, it does not add it to the cart.
At the moment, the 1C service is not implemented, as there is no need for it, since we do not know if WooCommerce is capable of performing its part of the work in the scheme described above.
