Steam Gameplay Trailer for Widget-Farm Game
We are looking for an experienced video editor to create a vibrant gameplay trailer for Steam for our widget-farm genre game. You will be provided with the game and all assets for production. Trailer concept:
This is a recording of a real desktop, where a farm unexpectedly comes to life. Not a full-screen game — a layer of life over work. The contrast "boring desktop → lively desktop" = the entire trailer.
0:00–0:03
- On screen: real work — VS Code typing a line + Figma/browser tab with video. Zero UI of the farm.
- Sound: only keyboard + scrolling.
0:03–0:04
- On screen: the ground barely stirs below the windows.
- Sound: typing continues.
0:04–0:06
- On screen: greens → carrot emerges ABOVE the work window (z above content), not from the edge.
- Sound: pause in typing, 1 beat of silence.
- slow push-in 20% on the carrot
0:06–0:08
- On screen: cursor approaches, clicks → carrot is harvested.
- Sound: SFX pop/squeak → music starts.
0:08–0:12
- On screen: micro-cascade from the carrot — 2–3 rows, house appears.
- Editing: slow pull-out
0:12–0:18
On screen: one clean cycle — cursor drags seed → growth → harvest + watering. During the harvest, a coin/XP float, achievement toast on the side.
0:18–0:25
On screen: faster cuts to the beat — painting the house (click group → color live), decoration. The desktop is STILL visible under the farm.
0:25–0:30
On screen: the desktop darkens, only the farm remains lit → logo Farm.exe → tagline → "Wishlist on Steam" + Steam logo
A more detailed brief will be provided at the start of work (contains additional details that do not expand the scope of work). All movements, all events, all backgrounds, etc. must be polished and approved separately before starting work and during work.
