🖼️ Format and technical parameters
- Page size: 8.5 x 11 inches (21.59 × 27.94 cm)
- Orientation: portrait
- Resolution: 300 dpi
- Bleed: +0.125” (3 mm), if the drawing reaches the edge of the page
- Margins:
- Top/bottom/right — min. 0.25” (6.4 mm)
- Left (for binding) — 0.375” (9.6 mm)
- Safe zone: no important elements closer than 6 mm from the edge
- Background: white (#FFFFFF)
- Style: black-and-white outline, without shadows and background textures
- Line thickness: 1–1.5 pt
- Files: PNG or SVG; final assembly — PDF
📄 PAGE 1 — MAIN (with letter, animal, and QR code)
Purpose: main page for each letter
Page structure:
- Capital letter (A, B, C …)
- Located in the center or top part of the page.
- Has a clear thick outline suitable for coloring.
- Animal or object whose name starts with this letter
- For example: Affe mit Apfel, Bär mit Brombeeren, Cameleon mit Cupcake, etc.
- The drawing is simple, outlined, without a background.
- The animal or object interacts with the letter (holds, sits next to, stands by).
- QR code
- Size: approximately 2.5 × 2.5 cm.
- Location: bottom right corner of the page.
- Next to the QR code is written:

- Composition:
- All elements are visually balanced, centered on the page.
- Background is clean, without additional decorative elements.
📘 PAGE 2 — TASK PAGE
Purpose: educational game page for the same letter
The page is divided horizontally into three blocks with equal spacing.
🔹 1️⃣ Upper block — "Find the letter"
Text:
Finde alle A und male sie an!
(for each letter accordingly)
- Chaotic placement of 10–12 letters (uppercase and lowercase).
- Different decorative styles of letters (with bows, stars, hearts, etc.).
- Clear outlines, without color, line thickness 1–1.5 pt.
🔹 2️⃣ Middle block — "Color the objects"
Text:
Male die Bilder an, die mit A beginnen.
- There should be a total of 7 drawings in the block.
- Of these:
- 4 drawings — objects whose names start with the corresponding letter (for example: Apfel, Affe, Auto, Ananas).
- 3 drawings — for distraction, objects for other letters (for example: Ball, Ente, Haus).
- Drawings should be simple, childlike, without shadows, with a thick outline.
- All objects are evenly distributed across the area of the block, without a background.
🔹 3️⃣ Lower block — "Trace the letter"
Text:
Schreibe das große und kleine A nach.
- One line for the capital letter (A) + one for the lowercase (a).
- At the beginning of each line — an example with writing directions (arrows 1, 2, 3).
- Then — dotted letters for tracing (5–6 pieces).
- At the end leave some space for free writing.
✏️ Style and requirements
- Uniform style for all pages of the book.
- All objects suitable for children's coloring (3–6 years).
- Font for tasks — child-friendly, sans-serif (Comic Neue, KG Primary Penmanship, Schoolbell).
- Black-and-white outline, without color and gradients.
