My plan is to implement temporary addresses using namespaces/subaddressing for each user (or unique mailbox tokens), route incoming mail through a lightweight SMTP pipeline (Postfix/Haraka or a managed inbound mail provider with webhooks) to workers that analyze/store messages and resources in object storage and a relational database, and provide a simple API/webhook for the service to consume the results.
To ensure sender authenticity, I will check SPF/DKIM/DMARC (and ARC where possible), verify DKIM signatures and reverse DNS/TLS handshakes, check the reputation of the outgoing IP address and SMTP conversion (and optionally S/MIME/PGP signatures), and only accept those messages that pass these checks or come from a predefined whitelist — all checks and raw evidence will be logged in an audit log (with a hash signature) to ensure non-repudiation.
The solution will include scalable queues, GC for TTL-based deletion, monitoring/notifications, and complete documentation + deployment scripts (Docker/K8s), so you will receive a ready-to-use high-performance system that can be integrated into your service.
