Budget: 200 USD Deadline: 1 day
Good day. I am ready to complete this project; I have extensive experience in developing various applications.
A plugin is required to import textures/models/animations and locations from an old game into Unreal Engine. The source code of the game will be provided, the game is written in C++.
- Locations must be imported completely: landscape, models with textures, these models should be automatically placed at the required coordinates. Brushes may also be used in the game, so they should be transferred as well.
- Separate import of textures
- Separate import of static models with textures/material creation (or master material)
- Separate import of skeletal models also with textures/material, skeleton, and animations
The source code of the old engine for study - https://github.com/tx00100xt/LCSources-DXVK9

hello,
this is not really a generic unreal importer task, but a custom plugin for reading proprietary legacy game data and rebuilding it correctly inside UE 5.7.
i checked the linked source repository, and since the old client engine source is available, it makes sense to build the importer by studying the original asset and location formats directly from the C++ codebase. the repository describes the client as a 2015/2018 Last Chaos code base modernized for current Visual Studio and DirectX 9, which makes this approach realistic.
i can help with:
texture import
static model import with materials
skeletal model import with skeleton and animations
full location import with coordinate-based object placement
possible transfer of brush-like geometry if present
my estimate is 2200 usd and 28 days.
please let me know which part is the highest priority for the first milestone: separate assets or full locations.
