It is necessary to develop a UI/UX design for a mobile application for iOS and Android that allows users to search and listen to music from YouTube, Spotify, and Wikipedia. The application provides the ability to save tracks, create playlists, and also has a functional player similar to Apple Music.
What is required:
0. Design of the LaunchScreen with an animation of the application icon (the icon design is already ready).
1. Main screens that switch through UITaBarController (with the possibility of switching to SideBar for tablets, how it should look can be read here: https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/tab-bars#iPadOS). The screens themselves:
1) Explore Screen (displaying collections by countries, genres, new tracks, artists, top charts, etc.), should look like a library, using UICollectionView somewhere and UITableView somewhere, with search capability, examples are below in the screenshots.
2) Search Screen with a switch between categories (music, channels, playlists) or with separate blocks of results for these categories in a library style, see screenshots for examples.
3) Music Screen of saved music with the ability to edit and sort tracks.
4) Playlists Screen with similar logic as saved music, only for playlists.
5) Settings Screen (theme change, dark/light mode, subscriptions, connecting YouTube/Spotify accounts, etc.).
*) Player, which appears at the bottom when a track is pressed, with a full-screen version and music control functions similar to Apple Music with the ability to switch between video and audio.
2. Platforms:
- The design should be unified for iOS and Android.
3. Style:
- Basic style: Use Apple's style as a base, which they already use in their native applications, like Apple Music. All about this is written here: https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/
- Improvements: more interesting gradients, animations, and smooth transitions. Example: The Telegram app for iOS uses standard iOS elements but adds variety to them (custom themes, animations of SF Symbols buttons during interaction). Another good example is how iOS elements are played out in VisionOS, here in the example it shows how simple work with gradients gives freshness to the standard Apple design: https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/sidebars#visionOS. You can play with gradients, colors, etc., but within reason, the design should not look gaudy like a Chinese-Asian one, but should be strict, functional, and correspond to the ideology of Apple products.
- In this product, the task is not to come up with a new, special cool design with its own style, it will definitely be worse and more expensive to maintain than creating an application design using already ready interface solutions from Apple, making improvements and a bit of creativity as described above.
4. Color scheme:
- Support for day and night themes.
- Customization options for themes (the user can choose the color of the font, background, and controls, can choose themes from already ready color solutions).
- Basic color scheme: red tint color on UISystemBackgroundColor background.
5. Additional requirements:
- Interactive prototype for demonstrating navigation and interactions between screens.
- Development of widgets and a version for watches.
- The interface language must be in English.
6. Examples and references:
- Applications: Apple Music, Telegram (animations, theme customization).
- Screenshots of what I like and how it should look approximately are attached below.
[!] Requirements for the designer:
1) Extensive experience in creating interfaces for iOS and Android.
2) Ability to work with SF Symbols, creating animated icons.
3) Ability to work with animation.
4) Knowledge, understanding, and love for Apple Human Interface Guidelines, awareness that this is the handbook for the best design. Be able to apply this knowledge well and show projects in which they were used by you.
5) Experience in creating interactive prototypes (Figma, Sketch, etc.).
6) Portfolio with examples of projects with similar design. (see point 4).
7) Compliance with all the above points, if you do not meet them, please do not respond to this project, do not waste your and my time. Experienced designers may potentially expect further cooperation if successful in this project!
