There are two implementation options:
Option 1: "Sample Price" field in the product (easier)
In the product admin panel, one field is added — "Sample Price". If a price is specified, a "Buy a Sample" button appears on the product page. When clicked, the same product is added to the cart, but marked as "Sample" with its own price.
Pros:
No need to create separate products for each sample
Management in one place — just specify the price and everything works
Faster to implement
Cons:
The sample will not have separate inventory accounting and SKU
Option 2: Separate sample products
For each product, a separate sample product is created (hidden from the catalog). The main product specifies the connection to the sample.
Pros:
The sample is a full-fledged product with its own price, inventory, SKU
Separate inventory accounting
Cons:
Need to create and maintain twice as many products
I recommend the first option — it is easier to manage and sufficient for your task. The second option only makes sense if separate inventory accounting for samples is needed.

There is more than one way to implement such a task, and it depends on how the sample should be considered in the order. For now, there are two main options:
1. The sample is the same product; when added to the cart, only the price changes, and a label is added indicating that it is a sample.
2. The sample is a separate unit of product, the price of which is specified in an additional field of the product itself.
