Goal
Demonstrate the actual runtime of our brand's robotic vacuum cleaner on battery power and show the advantages of our battery over competitors. I emphasize - we are showing/measuring the runtime of our battery on a popular version of the robotic vacuum cleaner. We are not advertising the vacuum cleaner itself, the name of the vacuum cleaner will be blurred. We are showing how long our battery can work on a single charge.
Task
Professionally film a video test of the robotic vacuum cleaner with our battery in real conditions, confirming the declared specifications (capacity, runtime).
Equipment
- Robotic vacuum cleaner (provided)
- Our brand's battery (provided)
Location and Shooting Requirements
- Room area: 40-60 m², flooring: laminate, tiles, linoleum (no carpets, minimal furniture).
- Filming in time-lapse mode.
- Mandatory simultaneous recording of the Roborock app screen on the phone, subsequent synchronization of the smartphone screen time and the vacuum cleaner's operation.
- Cleaning mode: TURBO – we will set this at the beginning of the test. We will switch the robot's app to English before recording the test – so that this test can be used in different languages later.
Script
1. Beginning of the video (up to 25-40 seconds) Or Your suggestion
- Demonstration of the vacuum cleaner and battery replacement.
- Confirmation of 100% battery charge on the phone screen through the official app (the battery will be charged in advance).
2. Test (time-lapse)
- Test of the vacuum cleaner for 150-170 minutes until the battery is discharged, starting the cleaning of the robot.
- Filming the cleaning in accelerated mode (time-lapse), simultaneously showing the smartphone screen (battery percentage drops smoothly, time and area of cleaning).
- If the robot stops before complete discharge, start additional cycles until reaching a charge of ~20%. At the 19-20% mark, the robot will automatically return.
3. End of the test
- Recording of final indicators (total time, cleaning area, remaining charge).
- The robot must return to the base on its own.
Editing and Presentation
- Video with text inserts in Ukrainian or simple dictation.
- Bright, professional visualization of numbers and test results.
- Further translation of the text or dictation into other languages is planned for an additional fee.
Deadlines
- Filming - within 7 days after agreement (or longer BUT without my presence)
- Editing and submission of the video - up to 14 days after filming is completed.
Possible Difficulties and Recommendations
- The robot may stop before complete discharge, as it builds a map of the room and sees that it has cleaned everything, but we need a full cycle of battery operation - from 100% to 20% and record the area and time of operation from one charge: restart cleaning until reaching a charge of ~20%.
- A full cycle of operation will take about 160-170 minutes... In the video, we will fast-forward this entire time-lapse cycle at a comfortable speed. So that the viewer can see how smoothly the battery percentage drops in the app (and not die after the discharge reaches 49%, for example, as with many competitors).
- Filming in time-lapse will shorten the duration of the test to comfortable limits.
Additional Information
- The robot and battery are located in Kyiv, shipping to another city is possible if necessary, but filming in Kyiv with your or my participation is preferable.
If you have an idea on how to film and present a similar battery operation test - we would be happy to hear it. Perhaps your idea will be better than ours.
You will need to find/suggest/have your own location for filming.
