Это правда, но во первых: на гмтхабе есть ярн Лок, значит ярн есть. Во вторых-это никак не решает проблему заказчика

может это не github заказчика, в этом случе может у него не будет yarn.
Не знаю меня работал. Может у него уже занят 3000 порт, по этому не запускается. Надо посмотреть ощибку. -
Всё верно. Я немного ошибался. Это не гитхаб заказчика. Извиняюсь. Ему нужно просто с клонировать репозиторий себе и установить пакеты. Но так как npm косячит при установке (появляются конфликты), ваш способ с yarn действительно подходит. Был не прав, признаю.
