We are using a form created through the Shopify App – Forms.

After filling out the Shopify form:

● a new customer is created only if such a customer does not already exist; if the customer is already in Customers (email/phone matches), Shopify:

○ blocks the update and shows an error: “This customer submitted an email address or phone number that does

not match their existing profile…"

This mainly occurs with customers who have Mirakl or Shop Apotheke tags.

Consequences:

Such customers are not considered new

Flow - New Gift Workflow:

does not trigger (because the trigger is - Customer created)

additionally blocked due to the presence of Mirakl, Shop Apotheke tags

customers do not receive email communication

Any customer who submits a form through Shopify Forms, regardless of whether they already exist in Customers or not, should enter the Flow New Gift Workflow and receive the appropriate emails.

Our goal is to ensure that all customers coming from the form can receive marketing emails without issues, initially those related to the New Gift Workflow.

Any customer who submits a form through Shopify Forms becomes a new customer, the trigger - Customer created activates, and the Flow starts.

Allow updating of an existing customer upon form submission, but remove Mirakl, Shop Apotheke tags and also trigger the Flow upon Form submitted.
