Volodymyr Boychin was born in a village in Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied to become a medic and, due to the distribution system, since he had not yet started a family, he went to work in Sumy region.
Initially, in 1983, he arrived in Sumy. He completed his internship at the central city hospital, which was then located in the estate of Kharitonenkо on Dzerzhynska Street (now — Troitska), and a year later, on August 13, 1984, he started working as a therapist at the district hospital in the village of Nizhniy Sirovatka — in the historic building, which was also built by Kharitonenkо. After only a year and a half, Volodymyr Boychin became the chief doctor here. And he stayed. It has already been 39 years.
