Assistant illustrator - music video
🎨 We are looking for an assistant-illustrator for an atmospheric 2D animated music video
We are working on a project with a very interesting visual — a love story against the background of a gradual apocalyptic catastrophe. The clip is already in production, we have a clear style, colors, and references, but we need more hands to meet the final deadline — August 31.
About the project
This is a 2D animated music video about a couple fleeing across Europe by car, escaping from war. Throughout the video, they live a whole life together — from youth to old age. In the background, landscapes of nature and cities change, gradually being destroyed. The style is detailed, sometimes dramatic, with expressive color accents.
What needs to be done?
We need to draw about 4 illustrations per week in ProCreate. The entire creative part (style, colors, mood) is already approved — you will only need to technically and accurately reproduce the style and assemble the final scenes.
You can take one or several directions:
✅ 1) Character line art — refine clean contours of characters based on ready sketches and references in our style.
✅ 2) Backgrounds — create background images based on provided sketches, colors, and examples.
✅ 3) Coloring — apply colors to finished line art and backgrounds, strictly following the palette and detailing each element on a separate layer (for animation)
Who are we looking for?
A person who has ProCreate.
At least intermediate level of English to understand tasks
Experience creating illustrations for animation (preferably understanding the principles of layers and file naming).
Ready to quickly get started and complete an illustration within 1–2 days.
How do we work?
You communicate directly with the lead illustrator.
Once a week, we hold joint calls to discuss progress.
The illustrator provides sketches, colors, explanations.
Your task — to refine clear final illustrations.
