CAT/Localization Specialist for a US-based LSP
1224 USDA US-based company is looking for a Localization Specialist proficient in memoQ, Trados, and other CAT tools. The candidate must be familiar with XML, HTML, JSON, PROPERTIES, STRINGS, and other file formats, and should be capable of setting up projects in memoQ as well as importing a wide variety of file formats with customized content filtering solutions, e.g. cascading memoQ filters built from scratch. Linguistic/PC Engineering background is a plus. Basic formatting/DTP skills may also be required.
The person will start as a part-time freelance vendor (hourly pay) with an opportunity to become a full-time employee (working during EST hours may be required for a full-time position). Please note that this is not a Translator/Editor position. To be considered for the position you must know CAT tools on the Localization Engineer level (Regex, Xpath, XML, basic scripting/macros/VBA).
The compensation is TBD based on the existing professional experience.
