I will provide the theme. It would be a plus to add references, but it is not mandatory.
The main focus of the book is on illustrations, but there should be a minimal plot and a small instructive story in the book.
For example, how a little cat copes with her feelings when she goes to the first grade at school.
An example of one illustration (one chapter) looks like this.
Regarding the weather - early autumn. Warm. The trees have leaves that are green, yellow, and red.
Composition. In the center, there is a large anthill - a mound. Our heroes, Hedgehog Spike and little cat Emma, stand on opposite sides of the anthill. Emma is without glasses. Spike is holding the glasses in his hand and pointing them at the anthill like a magnifying glass. But this needs to be drawn exaggeratedly, as if the lens of the glasses magnifies almost like a microscope. Very strongly.
Also, draw the ant as anthropomorphized. Let him wear a helmet and a tool belt, carrying a large twig somewhere.
The other ants are almost invisible. They are small like dots.
A little to the side, the friends of our heroes are standing. Someone is also looking at the anthill, while someone is studying the birds in the trees.
If anything, they are NOT starting a fire, as the theme with the fire and the forest will come in a few illustrations ahead.
The trees frame the illustration at the edges.
The text on this illustration reads: "Once, the children were playing in the forest near the school and found an anthill. Spike borrowed Emma's glasses, and it turned out that they are very convenient for examining small objects. Just like a real magnifying glass!" There is not much text; it literally describes what is not obvious in the illustration or emphasizes the emotions of the characters.
There will be another nuance that I will share directly with the candidates.
