Our international company is looking for an experienced system administrator to support and develop the IT infrastructure on an hourly basis. We offer interesting tasks in a dynamic environment and the opportunity to work with modern technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Administration and support of the cloud infrastructure of the operational website on Digital Ocean
• Ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the company's website and related services from the system administration side
• User support in working with Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Zoho Projects, Zoho Sprints, Zoho CRM, administration of rights
• Implementation and support of an IP telephony system for the call center in the USA and the Philippines, infrastructure integration with CRM
• Development and implementation of backup and data recovery policies, setup and control of backups, and independent regular testing of data recovery, optimization of recovery procedures.
• Implementation of basic information security policies
• Monitoring system performance and optimizing their operation
• Planning and implementing measures to prevent failures in cloud services, procedures for backup work options for employees
• Documentation of processes and procedures related to user support, infrastructure support of information systems, basic level of information security

Requirements:

For website support:

• Basic experience in administering Linux systems (Ubuntu) (only for the purposes of supporting the website and development infrastructure)
• Basic knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker)
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Digital Ocean)
• Knowledge of web servers (Nginx, Apache) (installation and basic configuration)
• Experience in system administration of databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis) - installation and maintenance, programming skills are not required
• Understanding of information security principles, routing setup, proxy, firewall under Linux Ubuntu

Additional advantages will be:

• Ability to build a monitoring system for a website built on multiple technologies and nodes (Ubuntu 22.04, Node.js, PHP, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, Nginx, Apache, Keycloak, WordPress - local instances, Docker, Minio, Formio)
• Experience with monitoring and logging systems
• Knowledge of the basic principles of building fault-tolerant systems

General necessary skills:

• Experience as a system administrator for at least 3 years, verifiable references from previous workplaces
• Written and spoken technical English, sufficient for free communication with vendor and partner support services.
• Skills in supporting a globally distributed remote IT company, infrastructure integration of different systems and products, maintaining IT documentation (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Zoho Projects, Zoho Sprints, Zoho CRM)
